Happiness, a state with no defined source.
Many say it comes from within, a place with scattered emotions.
Many claim to have it; hmm, many great actors.
Only in their lone corners do they take their mask off.
Many laugh so loud and play like they have no worries,
With smiles speaking volumes, but rendered dumb by the ambiance of their makeup.
Many tell their hurt just for a reward of “sorry,”
But for many wants the same reward, it ends up becoming a competitive story.
Many find an attachment to hold onto, like it will last forever,
Until the limitation of time comes with the showcase of its power,
Changing the Eternity of “forever” to a Mortality of “whenever.”
You do remember the saying, “nothing lasts forever.”
Happiness has become an stressful voluntary action,
Involving lots of intentional fusions,
With a very low concentration,
Until later dissolved by the next toxic reaction.
